Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Kumbha-Yah ("we," "us") collects through this website and app, and how we use it. We keep this simple: we don't run ads, we don't sell your data, and we don't track you across other sites.

Information we collect

When you place an order

To take and fulfill an online order, we collect your name, phone number, email address (optional), pickup time preference, any order notes, and the items and modifiers you select. This is stored in our order system and used to prepare your order, contact you if there's an issue, and keep records for accounting purposes.

We never see or store your card number. Payment is handled entirely by Clover, our payment processor — you enter card details directly on Clover's own secure checkout page. We receive a payment confirmation from Clover (via a webhook) so we know your order is paid; we don't receive or store your card details.

When you apply for a job

Our jobs application form collects the information typically needed to consider an application — name, contact details, date of birth, address, position and availability, work experience, a couple of standard eligibility questions, and an optional resume upload. This is emailed directly to our hiring team and is not stored in our database.

Store selection and cart

We use your browser's local storage — not tracking cookies — to remember your selected store location and the contents of your cart between visits, purely so you don't lose your cart if you navigate away. This stays on your device.

What we don't do

We don't use analytics or advertising trackers (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, nothing similar) on this site. We don't have a marketing email list or newsletter signup. We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Third-party services

Some parts of your experience involve services we don't control, each with its own privacy practices:

• Clover — processes payments for online orders.
• Yah! Rewards (via RewardUp) and Shell Fuel Rewards — our loyalty programs are run on external, third-party sites you're taken to if you choose to join. We don't control what data they collect.

Data retention

We keep order records for standard business and accounting purposes. Job applications live in our hiring team's email and are handled according to normal hiring practices.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
